CALL FOR PAPERS
The Call for papers is now open for the presentation of papers to participate in the IV International Forum of Researchers and Critics of Theatre for Children and Young People to be held in the City of Buenos Aires, 26-30 July 2016.
The Asociación de Teatristas Independientes para Niños y Adolescentes (ATINA) in collaboration with the Asociación Argentina de Investigación y Crítica Teatral (AINCRIT) and the International Theatre for Children and Young People Researchers Network (ITYARN), are organising the IV Foro Internacional de Investigadores y Críticos de Teatro para Niños y Jóvenes with the aim of stimulating the development of research in the international field of theatre for children and young people.
He objective of these Forums is to make a theoretical contribution to the professionals of theatre for children and young people that stimulates the development of new tendencies and favours the integration of Ibero-American researchers into the international network. During the meeting, different theoretical frameworks of critical approach will be proposed and the role of theory in practice and practice in theory will be discussed. The IV FORO aims to be a platform for exchange.
He subject to be addressed by the 4th Forum is: "From theatre for babies to theatre for teenagers - is there a theatre for every age?"
PROGRAMME:
The programme will include conferences, lectures, plenary sessions, meetings, forums, round tables, workshops and debates.
Members of ITYARN and AINCRIT, professors from International Universities and Theatre for Children and Young People professionals from different countries of the world will participate in the Conferences and Round Tables of the Forum.
Researchers and theatre practitioners from different countries will participate in the Reading of Papers.
Throughout the week of the IV FORO, participants and exhibitors will be able to attend shows for children and young people specially selected from the theatre programme in Buenos Aires.

RULES FOR THE PRESENTATION OF PAPERS
PARTICIPANTS
Papers may be presented by researchers, theatre practitioners, teachers and students of any nationality from different universities, educational and cultural institutions or theatre companies from all over the world.
LANGUAGE
Papers may be written in Spanish and/or English. If the abstract is selected for presentation, the final paper must be presented in both languages.
THEME
From theatre for babies to theatre for teenagers: Is there a theatre for every age?
Theatre for children and young people, as an artistic discipline, carries in its very name the value of the receiver. Babies, toddlers, school children, pre-adolescents, adolescents and young people constitute a range of age groups that enrich and complexify it. Although both scholars and artists adhere to the idea of theatre as an artistic event of universal character and intended for all human beings, the practice with children and adolescents shows that there are different ways of creating and different aesthetic products according to the age stage of the receiver. In times when so much progress has been made in the study of Theatre for Children and Young People, these "age bands", far from being rigid or erroneously imposed, are intended to be flexible and not thought of as watertight categories but as approximations to the different interests and ways of being in the world of the child-adolescent, depending on the stage he or she is going through. Do these stages determine different aesthetic tendencies or special artistic productions that cater especially to the age of the recipient, or can they be ignored?
These and other points of view will be addressed through lectures, conferences and debates.
TITLES AND SUMMARIES
They must be sent before 30 MARCH 2016 by e-mail to the following address: investigadores@iberoamericateatral.com.ar, with a maximum of 200 words. The title of the paper, name and surname of the speaker and the institution where he/she works, postal address, country, e-mail, telephone number should be included. Abstracts may be sent in English or Spanish.
Deadline for submission of the final paper.
Once the acceptance of the abstract has been confirmed, the final paper must be sent by 30 MAY 2016 by e-mail to the following address: investigadores@iberoamericateatral.com.ar
Collaborative works may be submitted.
The text should not exceed 10 pages (A4 size, 1.5 line spacing, Times New Roman, font 12) and should not take more than 20 minutes to read. Papers should be submitted as a double copy in Word and PDF. Notes and bibliography not intended for reading should be included on separate sheets. The paper may only be read by its author.
The selected works will be published in the IV PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM OF RESEARCHERS AND CRITICISTS OF THEATRE FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE, in a format to be agreed and with ISBN.
The EVALUATING COMMITTEE will be composed of members of the ATINA Steering Committee, AINCRIT and ITYARN.
TRANSLATIONS
The English or Spanish translation of the final paper, as appropriate, must be submitted as a double copy of Word and PDF by 1 JULY 2016.
COST
No registration fees will be charged for the presentation and reading of papers.
The costs of travel, accommodation, food and tickets to the shows will be covered by each researcher.

ATINAASSITEJ, ASSITEJ's representative in Argentina, has been developing an intense activity since its creation in 2002, both nationally and internationally, in order to stimulate the development of theatre for children and young people in our country and to integrate it into the international concert. AINCRIT (Asociación Argentina de Investigación y Crítica Teatral) was founded in 2008 and develops an intense activity in the field of theatre criticism and research throughout the country. Since its beginnings, its aim has been to "integrate theatre practice and theory", encouraging theorists, critics and theatre practitioners to work together. Open to all theoretical positions, with a permanent interest in sharing with national and international sister institutions, AINCRIT renews with its activities the values that gave meaning to its creation. www.aincrit.org
ITYARN (International Theatre for Children and Young People Researchers Network) is the international network of ASSITEJ researchers. It is the aim of ITYARN to work for the development of research on theatre for young audiences (children and youth) in collaboration with the University of Agder (Norway), the University of Hildesheim (Germany), the Arizona State University (USA) and the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Wiscosin-Madison, (USA), the University of Ankara (Turkey) and the National University of Arts of Korea. The International Forum of Researchers and Critics of Theatre for Children and Young People has been highlighted by the Theatre of the World Awards given by the University of Buenos Aires in 2010.
