7th Juan Cervera Prize for Research on Theatre for Children and Youth.

On 18 February last, the jury meeting for the VII Juan Cervera Prize for Investigation on theatre for children and young people. youth. *The jury, composed of members of the university academic community, decided to award the prize to the work Current perspectives of children's playwriting in Mexico. The jury highlighted the value of the work for its contribution to the knowledge of children's theatre; the interest of the subject matter, which fills a bibliographical and research gap; its methodological rigour; and the outstanding handling of the sources.

Yoloxochitl Garcia Santamaria

Mexico City, 1986.

Master's Degree in Performing Arts from the Universidad Veracruzana (2014). Graduate in Dramatic Literature and Theatre (2010), from the UNAM. She studied the Diploma in Children's and Young People's Literature. Una puerta a la lectura, taught by the Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas de la UNAM (2013-2014). She did an academic stay at the Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH), where she spent a semester in the Master's Degree in Cultural Studies, within the axis of "History of Literature and Art" (2013). She has written and directed plays for children, such as Cuéntame tu sueño and Tan grande como la luna (2011), of her own authorship. He has published short stories and reviews of stage performances in magazines and cultural supplements, as well as articles on children's literature and theatre for children published in conference proceedings. She has given workshops on art, theatre and puppetry.

He has participated in meetings on literature and performing arts, as well as presented at theatre festivals in Mexico City. He currently teaches a degree in Hispanic American Language and Literature at the UNACH.
