MADferia, the Madrid Performing Arts Fair, is an event held annually with the main aim of promoting, invigorating and generating a market in the field of performing arts. The Madrid Performing Arts Fair was created in 2005 by ARTEMAD, the Association of Performing Arts Companies of the Community of Madrid, motivated by the need to create a buying and selling market and a space for exchange between professionals in the sector, which until then had not existed in Madrid. MADferia presents the latest creations in the performing arts of the Spanish State, with a programme of avant-garde shows, small and medium format, and a close look at productions from the Community of Madrid. In addition, it has a wide programme of professional activities aimed at reflection and meeting between professionals in the sector. The fair is associated with COFAE (Coordinator of Performing Arts Fairs of the Spanish State) and, since the first edition, has managed to create a very special synergy between the three institutions that converge in our capital: INAEM, the Community of Madrid and the City Council of Madrid. It also has the support of MATADERO MADRID, the Municipal Board of the Arganzuela District, the Teatro Español and the Sala Cuarta Pared as regular collaborators.
